Forming part of Diamond Coatings Ltd, ITO Coatings UK can supply a wide range of ITO and special optical coatings within the visible, near-infra-red and infra-red ranges. Here is a brief introduction to some of the optical coatings we currently supply.
Our Optical Coatings Range
Using semi-conductor and oxide layers, we can provide optical coating options with an approximate wavelength range of 300nm to 20 microns on a diversity of substrates including diverse optical polymers, sapphire and varying types of glass.
Typically meeting all cosmetic and durability requirements (depending on specific designs and deposition processes) of common optical specifications (MIL-C-675, MIL-M-13508, etc.), these options include, among others:
‘V’ Coat AR (anti reflection) Coatings – Typically used in applications with specific laser wavelengths and offering reflections below 0.1% (at single wavelengths), these coatings can be designed for varying incidence angles.
Multi-Layer Broadband AR Coatings – Offering average reflectance rates of around 0.8% over a wide range of UV, visible & infra-red wavelength regions, these coatings can be designed for a diversity of incidence angles, performances, substrates and wavelengths. Our capabilities include the design of Dual Band AR coatings.
Beam Splitters – Providing diverse transmittance/reflection values (i.e. 70/30 or 50/50 +/- 1.5%), beam splitters reflect a specific portion of incident light and transmit the remaining portion. They are mostly used at an incident angle of 45º, but we can design them for other incidence angles.
For angular insensitive, simple requirements, metal coatings may be used providing relatively large amounts of absorption are acceptable. Dielectric designs can all provide spectrally flat reflectance and transmittance curves over a bandwidth of approximately 300nm.
Edge Filters – Using a design similar to that of al- dielectric high reflectors, short or long wave pass filters for varying incidence angles can be achieved.
Used to reflect one portion of incidence light while transmitting another, edge filters can be used as “hot Mirrors” (reflecting infra-red and transmitting visible light) or “cold mirrors” (reflecting visible light and transmitting infra-red). They are also useful as UV light and colour filters.
Edge filters can also be designed and produced for diverse incidence angles.
We can also produce bandpass and narrow band filters, as well as front surface mirrors with reflections exceeding 99%.
