ITO Coated Glass
Indium tin oxide (ITO) is a transparent conducting oxide composed of indium, tin and oxygen that can applied to substrates such as glass.
ITO is one of the most commonly used transparent conducting oxides for glass coatings, due to its high level of electrical conductivity and optical transparency.
There are several suitable glass substrates that can be used with an ITO coating, the suitability of each varying dependant on intended application. We offer a comprehensive choice of ITO glass types and glass substrate options including:
- Soda Lime Glass
- Toughened Soda Lime Glass Options
- Borosilicate Glass
- Fused Silica and Quartz Glass
- BK7 Glass
Glass can be supplied:
- Fully dimensioned
- Profiled to meet specific customer requirements (i.e. with chamfer edges)
- With holes and cut-outs
- Polished to suit specific flatness and optical requirements
ITO coatings can also be applied onto alternative substrates to glass, such as PET films, polycarbonates and acrylic.
ITO Glass Coating Options
ITO glass coatings can be further enhanced to provide additional features that may be required for an application. Enhancements may include EMC filtering, anti-reflection and index matched coatings to reduce reflections and glare to support an applications optical performance.
We have several ITO coating options available with Diamox ITO, Diamox+ ITO (Index Matched) and AR (Anti Reflective) coatings.
We can provide a range of quality Silver Busbar connection options, including options for glass substrates. Silver Busbar is a highly durable frit busbar, fired in silver, to which connection wires can be soldered.
We can cater for additional aesthetics requirements such as required logo, additional graphics or decorative borders.
Glass based ITO heaters are provided with standard thermistors designed to facilitate controlled activation and de-activation of ITO heaters.
