ITO Coating on Glass Substrates
Our ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) coatings on glass substrates are a great choice for a conductive surface and high optical transmission. ITO coatings provide excellent optical transmission which works favourably for touch screens, LCD-displays, and to establish the anode of most organic LEDs (OLED) of digital devices.
ITO coating on glass also provide suitable solutions for manufacturing transparent electrodes, invisible flat antennas in mobile communication devices, anti-static glass, heating and anti-icing windows, organic solar cells, amongst other similar applications.
With their low electrical surface resistivities, our ITO coatings are excellent for the production of EM protection windows that transmit visible light and shield electromagnetic radio waves.
We are an industry leader in the manufacture of ITO glass. We produce this by adding a conductive ITO layer to high-quality glass substrates using sputter coating technology.
How Do You Select the Right Coating?
Not only does ITO UK customise ITO glass substrates based on unique surface quality or flatness requirements, but we can also apply custom coatings.
The transmission specification of our ITO-coatings depends on the surface resistance and the ITO-film thickness. This is also factored by the substrate material and how suitable the refractive index of the glass substrate matches the refractive index of the ITO-thin film.
We have a variety of transmission curves to select from. If you don’t find a characteristic transmission curve for your desired ITO-coating, you can always contact us with the performance specifications you would like to achieve.
Special Order Options
Both Anti-Reflective or Index Matching Coatings can help in increased transmittance of the coating on the glass substrate. Anti-Reflective coating is applied to the opposite side of the ITO coating so that even with index matching coating, the transmittance can be increased. We can also design custom multi-layer coatings to achieve high transmission and reflectance specifications with all coatings based on the one side of the substrate.
We are happy to coat customer supplied materials also. To get more information on our products, learn more about their applications, get advice on finding the most suitable product for your specific purpose or to discuss your requirements please contact one of our experts.
