Earthing Copper Tape
When you combine high conductivity, flexibility of use and anti-corrosive properties, Copper tape is excellent as an earther. Widely used in lightening protection systems, the tape is used to provide the air termination (arresting a lightening strike, normally at the highest point on a building), then taking the lightening discharge to the ground and terminating the discharge into the ground.

A seriously effective slug repellent! Many gardeners are now using copper tape as a barrier around their plant pots and vegetable patches. Slugs that attempt to move over the copper will receive a small shock as their slime reacts with the copper. Slugs! You shall not pass!
Electromagnetic Shielding Copper Tape
Copper tape is also used commonly for electromagnetic shielding, sealing gaps on RFI sensitive enclosures. It is also used to fix & seal ITO coated windows into their apertures.
Surprising Copper Tape Application #3
Serious art collectors are now using copper tape on the inside of a wooden frame that houses a painting. Over time, the wood can deteriorate, giving off acids, such as formic, that may react with the paint pigments. The copper tape acts as a pollution absorber, the acid reacts with the copper and is neutralised.
