Diamond Coatings now supply an exciting new range of ITO glass slides designed specifically for applications within the research and development sector.
R & D ITO Glass Slides
Consisting of soda lime float glass (1.1 mm thick), our new R & D glass slides boast a 1.6 x 10-6 Ohm.m resistivity, top-quality ITO coating and an SiO2 (silicon oxide) barrier coating (25 nm).
Soda Lime Glass
Created by drawing glass over tubs of molten Tin, soda lime glass is comparatively inexpensive to produce, which makes it the most commonly used material for glass slides. The air (upward-facing) side is typically both smoother & flatter than the Tin (down facing) side. Available in three options – standard, thermally or chemically toughened – soda lime glass can be cut to different required sizes.
The SiO2 Barrier
Placed between the glass substrate and the Indium Tin Oxide coating, the SiO2 barrier is designed to inhibit Na (sodium) ion diffusion out of the glass. Unless blocked by this barrier layer, sodium ions could disrupt both the performance of the Indium Tin Oxide and devices grown thereon. Both the ITO coated glass slides’ quality and longevity are subsequently increased by this SiO2 barrier.
Available Slide Grades
We offer three different grades of ITO coated glass slides:
- Standard 15 Ohm/sq, 88% Transmittance ITO Coating
- Standard 5 Ohm/sq, 82% Transmittance ITO Coating
- OLED Grade 15 Ohm/sq, 86% Transmittance ITO Coating
The surface of the OLED grade option is smoother than that of the two standard options.
ITO Slide Sizes
Currently available stocked standard sizes include:
- 20 mm x 10 mm
- 25 mm x 25 mm and
- 75 mm x 25 mm
Various other sizes (max. 400 x 500 mm) can also be provided.
